Our nature themed Half Term is inspired by this year's WriteStuff competition: the Guernsey's Literary Festival's writing competition for students in the Bailiwick.

Monday 20 February

Baby Social

10:30 - 11:30 in the Dorey Room, second floor

Join us for Baby Social. Starting with half an hour of songs and rhymes especially for little ones under 1.

Followed by sensory play for the babies and time for tea and chat for their grown-ups. Booking required.

 

Tuesday 21 February

Little Puffin Signing

10:30 - 11:00 in the Children's Library

Come along for a signing session! There will be books, songs and toys to help with learning the signs.

This session is suitable for children age 2+ and can be tailored for any primary school age children who want to learn to sign.

The session is free and booking is essential due to limited places.

 

Tovertafel Tuesday: Our Tovertafel will be on from 13:00 on Tuesday with a variety of interactive games to choose from. Suitable for all ages!

 

Wednesday 22 February

Nature Stories & Crafts

10:30-11:30 in the Hayward Room, second floor

Join us for nature themed stories and crafts.

This is family event and all are welcome but most suitable for children aged 3-8. No need to book, just come and join in the fun.

 

Thursday 23 February

Love Bug Craft

09:00-10:00 & 10:30-11:30

Western Community Library at St Saviours Community Centre

Create your own valentines love bug bookmark!

This is a family event, but most suitable for children aged 3-10. Booking essential.

 

Chatterbooks Book Club

 15:30-16:30

Story Tower, third floor

Come and join our Chatterbooks book club this half term up in the Story Tower. Talk about your favourite book and join in with some fun games!

Suitable for children aged 8-12 years. No need to book, just come and join in the fun.

 

Friday 24 February

Nature Trail activity session

10:30-11:30

Hayward Room, second floor

Join us for stories, songs and a rhyming activity trail inspired by ‘Nature Trail’, the joyful picture book by Benjamin Zephaniah and Nila Aye.

Most suitable for ages 0-5. No need to book, just come and join in the fun.
