Borrowing

You can borrow up to twelve items for three weeks.

Check them out on our self-service kiosks, or use the Library App.

There are no fines at the Library, though we always encourage you to return or renew your books on time so others can enjoy them too.

Ready to bring your books back? Use the self-service kiosks at the Library, or drop them in at one of our out-of-Town return points: St Martin's Community Centre, the Castel Douzaine, or the Salvation Army Community Centre on the Bridge. Please check their websites for opening times.

Renewing

You don't have to bring your books back when your initial three weeks are up. As long as no one else has reserved them, you can renew for a further three weeks. You can do this up to six times.

There are three ways to renew:

  1. At our self-service kiosks.
  2. Via the Library App. Download the app and renew your loans in a few taps. See our help page for more details.
  3. Online through our website

Please note: If someone else has reserved an item you've borrowed, it can only be renewed for one week.
