Art Exhibition: Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize

Art Exhibition: Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize

The Library is hosting an exhibition for the Finalists of the Sovereign Art Foundation Student Prize from Thursday 26 November til Saturday 12 December.

The Prize was established in Guernsey in 2015 and seeks to inspire and reward young artists in the community. It aims to encourage cultural development and celebrate the importance of art in the education system by recognising the quality of artwork that can be produced by talented, young students.

All submitted artworks are viewed online by a judging panel of art professionals, who shortlist up to 20 Finalists. The Finalists’ works are exhibited, and judges attend for a second round of voting, in person, to select their winners. In parallel, the public are invited to vote on their favourite piece (online and at the exhibitions). Prizes are awarded to the winning artists and their schools.

Come along to the Library to view the Finalists' works and vote for your favourite.
