If an item you want to borrow is on loan to someone else, you can reserve it. This means that when it's returned it will be held for you, and you'll be notified that it's ready to collect.
Placing reservations is FREE.
You can do this in several ways:
Via the Library App. Search for the item you want and tap 'reserve'. Find out how to get the app here.
Reserve online via the online catalogue. Search the catalogue for the item you want and click the 'reserve this item' button. You'll need to be logged in.
You will be notified by email or post when the item is ready to collect.
Please note that you can only reserve items that are already in our collection - to request an item not in our collection, read on below.
Requests
If there's something you want to read that's not currently in our collection, you are welcome to place a request. If considered suitable to add to our stock, our librarians will get it for you.
You will be notified by email or post either when the item is ready to collect.
Please note that in some cases, it may not be possible to fulfil requests - either because the item is unavailable, or because it's not considered suitable for purchase. You can find out more about our selection criteria in our Collection Development Policy.
