Monday 27 October
Baby Social
10:30-11:30 in the Dorey Room on the second floor of the Library. Songs and rhymes for under 1s, followed by sensory play and tea & chat for the grown ups. Free event. Booking essential - book here.
Tuesday 28 October
Teen Maker Club
15:30-16:46 in the Fab Lab. This half term, get creative and learn the art of macrame with this spooky ghost craft! Teen Maker Club is for people aged 11-15 years and is a great way to learn something new and get to know like-minded crafters. The session is £7 and includes all teaching and craft materials. The Fab Lab is on the first floor accessible via the lift or stairs. Booking essential - book here.
Thursday 30 October
Little Puffin Signing
10:30 - 11:00 in the Children's Library. Join Steph from Little Puffin Signing to learn some Signalong signs for Halloween! This spooky session will teach signs for 'pumpkin', 'ghost', 'witch' and many others. We also make a potion filled with 'frogs' and 'snakes'! Signs are taught using books and songs, and the session always ends with 'more' bubbles! Suitable for children age 2+ and can be tailored for any primary school age children who want to learn to sign. The session is free and booking is essential due to limited places - book here.
Friday 31 October
Spooky Stories & Crafts
10:30-11:30 in the Hayward Room on the second floor. Come along for spooky themed stories, activities and crafts. This is family event and all are welcome but most suitable for children aged 3-9. No need to book, just come and join in the fun.

Smile for Georgie Trick or Treat
17:30-18:30 in the entrance hall. Stop by the Library on your trail around town! Pop in to pick up your treats. Please note, the rest of the Library will be closed from 17:00.

Family Stories Special Edition - Accessible Communication
11:00-11:30 in the Children’s Library. For this Family Stories session, Alida and Amelia from the Speech and Language Therapy team invite all families to join us in reading and sharing stories with some interactive additions. We'll explore how to use different modes of communication while enjoying books—making story time more inclusive, interactive, and joyful for everyone. Find out more here.
