Get creative in the Fab Lab this Christmas
Starting to think about Christmas presents or stocking fillers? Stuck for ideas for the office Secret Santa? The Fab Lab can help! With our state-of-the-art technology, you can make a personalised gift in no time. Print a family photo, inside joke, favourite image, or any other design onto mugs, T-shirts, tote bags, Christmas decorations - the list goes on.
Use of the Fab Lab is free, with a small charge for materials. Make sure to book a machine before you visit - scroll down to find out more.
I'm already a member of the Library but I haven't used the Fab Lab before. How do I learn what to do?
On your first visit to the Fab Lab you'll need a 10-minute induction. This will include any safety information you need to know about the Fab Lab machines.
Book your induction here by selecting 'Fab Lab Induction'. Once you've completed your induction, book one of the Fab Lab machines to get creating! Use the same link to book your slot. The member of staff in the Fab Lab can help you get started on each machine.
You must be 11 or older to use the Fab Lab (11-13 must be accompanied by an adult).
I'm not a member of the Library yet, how do I access the Fab Lab?
The Library is for everyone, and anyone can be a member. It's completely free and it only takes a few minutes to sign up. Pop in and fill in a joining form at Reception, or if you're over 16 you can join online here.
Once you're a member, follow the same steps as above for your Fab Lab induction.
