The Guille-Alles Writing Workshop meets once a month to discuss writing and give feedback on each other's work. The group is friendly and informal and we welcome writers of all abilities, whether you're writing fiction or non-fiction.
In the three years we have been running, the group has discussed short stories, poetry, memoir, film scripts and worked together on a commission from the library to write stories for the Bedtime Stories project which you can find out more about here. This autumn we're trialling a more informal drop-in session immediately before the workshop - pop along to chat about what you're writing, what you're trying to write or what you want to write, or even do some writing.
The Dorey Room on the second floor will be open for the drop-in from 5:30, with the workshop starting at 7pm. To take part in the workshop, send your piece of work (maximum word count of 1500 words please) to [email protected] in the week before the workshop.
