Computers and Wi-Fi

Access to Public Computers and Wi-Fi is FREE at the Guille-Allès Library.

There are 13 public computers available in the adult library and 3 in the childrens' library. 

User access to the public computers is subject to acceptable use, as defined in the ‘Policy on the Use of the Internet and Computer devices in the Library’.

Use by children under 16 years of age is the responsibility of the named Guarantor. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times when using the Internet service.

Filtering and Monitoring

Internet access on the public computers and Wi-Fi is filtered. Activity is also monitored and further action will be taken if a breach of the acceptable use policy is suspected.

Printing and Scanning

Printing is currently charged at 20p per sheet. A FREE Scan to USB facility is available to the public.

First Click Training

The Library offers its own version of the BBC First Click training package.

Designed for people who are new to computers and the Internet, First Click training is an ideal way to develop your confidence in a friendly, unpressured environment.

The half hour long training sessions are free, but it is necessary to book in advance.
