Reading Group: Graphic Novels

At the Reading Group in November we'll discuss graphic novels.

Defined as 'fictional stories presented in comic-strip format and published as books', graphic novels are a huge and growing part of the literary world. Read one of these and tell us what you think!

You're free to choose anything you like, from Spider-Man to Roy of the Rovers, but here are some suggestions of critically-acclaimed graphic novels:

Maus by Art Spiegelman (winner of the 1992 Pullitzer Prize)

Watchmen by Alan Moore

Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi

When the Wind Blows by Raymond Briggs

From Hell by Alan Moore

Sabrina by Nick Drnaso (longlisted for the 2018 Man Booker Prize)

Wednesday 14 November, 7.30-9.00 pm, and Saturday 17 November, 3.30-5.00 pm. Come along to whichever is more convenient.

It's free and you don't need to book. For more information contact Adam on 720392 or email abayfield@library.gg
