Support and Advisory Services

The Schools' Library Liaison Officer is able to offer you advice on different aspects of running your school library including:

• lessons on how to use the library effectively
• selecting and purchasing new stock
• training new library volunteer staff
• reorganising the layout of the library
• setting up book clubs
• monitioring library usage
• developing a library policy

An information literacy programme has been developed to give you an idea of the sort of literacy lessons that the Liaison Officers can offer in your school.
