Internet & Wi-Fi access
You can use the Internet for FREE at the Guille-Allès Library
There are four Internet terminals available in the adult library and four in the junior library. The junior library terminals may be used in term time only up to 3.15 pm by adult users. Otherwise, these are solely for the use of junior members. If you are not a member of the library you may use the internet service for a small fee. This is currently £1.00 for a half hour session.
- Free access is available for anyone with a resident’s Guille-Allès library card or visitor’s card. Users under the age of 16 must have their registration card signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- Half-hour sessions can be booked throughout the day. There is a high demand for this service so booking is essential. You may book a maximum of two sessions at one time. Please be prepared to quote your library card number when booking and to show your card when you attend your session.
- You may print out web pages and e-mails on a colour printer for a small charge.
- Free e-mail services are available from dozens of web sites. All you need to do is to complete an application form on screen. You are then able to send and receive e-mails via the web site with which you have registered. Please note that, due to security issues, attachments to e-mails may not be sent or received
- Introductory training sessions covering the basis of using the internet are available by appointment. Training sessions are on a one-to-one basis arranged at a time convenient to both trainee and trainer. There is a charge for each session.
- Adults may only use the internet terminals in the Children's Library in school hours during term time.
Free Wi-Fi internet access, provided by Sure, is also available throughout the Guille-Allès Library .
